Wow. I’m a big believer in this kind of stuff, but I always come to it with a critical mind first. In other words, if I can’t DIS-prove it, then I’ve got no other choice than to believe it.

A couple thoughts that go through my mind are … has the cloth always been under observation? In other words, could it have been replaced surreptitiously?

The earthquake one interests me. I was living in San Fernando Valley during the Northridge earthquake back in the 90′s. My brother and I have always tried to be givers and as open and loving as possible. The gals in the house behind us — like 15 feet behind us — have not. In fact, they were pretty much the opposite.

Well, when the quake happened, our TV, which had been perched on a TV tray, with the VCR sitting precariously on top of the TV, did not move an inch. On the other hand, 15 feet behind us, every single piece of the girls’ furniture and every dish was demolished.

The morning it happened, only one girl was at the house, and was totally freaked out. We offered to let her stay in our house, that had only one crack in it. In the darkness, my brother and I lit candles and listened to our battery-powered radio and sang and talked about how cool the whole experience was. She watched us quietly like we were raving lunatics until a few hours later when her dad came and picked her up.

I think God is alive, just, and has a sense of humor.
